general faqs

1. What does BETA mean?

TheCareerMole BETA means that we are aware the site is not perfect, we are a new business improving and learning all of the time. TheCareerMole is safe and secure to use and ready for public consumption but we are constantly making changes and improving TheCareerMole based on feedback we get from you. We welcome your suggestions, criticism or feedback as it helps us improve.

2. How does TheCareerMole work?

The process is quick, simple and intuitive for candidates, employees (our Moles), and employers. Learn How TheCareerMole Works

3. Why use TheCareerMole?

Job hunters speak to Moles and make informed career decisions about a company, before they apply and get the job that is right for them; employees (Moles) can develop their Mole Network and will earn recognition and rewards by successfully referring talented candidates the meet through TheCareerMole; and employers can recruit the best talent at a greatly reduced cost compared to other recruitment methods. We think of it as everyone's unfair advantage

Learn about the benefits specific to candidates, moles and employers

4. What is a Mole?

A Mole is an employee at a company that has an employee referral scheme/program. The Mole refer suitable candidate applications to the company's recruitment process via the employee referral program and provide real, unbiased information about their company, job and career.

5. What is an employee referral scheme?

An employee referral scheme is a relatively new, and completely under-utilised, recruitment method whereby an employer offers their employees rewards if they successfully refer candidate applications to the company's recruitment process,if the candidate is subsequently hired. Your employer may reward you with anything from financial bonuses to prizes - check your employer's referral policy for details. TheCareerMole is not a middleman - we do not pay referral bonuses - we just help you to earn them from your employer.

Recruitment via an employee referral scheme is more efficient and effective than traditional recruitment - if every job hunter knew about employee referral schemes - they wouldn't apply for jobs in any other way

6. What are the benefits of an employee referral scheme?

Recruitment via employee referral is highly beneficial to all 3 parties involved: the candidate, the employee and the recruiting employer. Learn about the benefits specific to candidates, moles and employers

7. Is my personal information secure?

Yes. We use secure SSL encryption technology, the most advanced in the industry, to secure online transactions. When you see the padlock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser, SSL encryption is activated, and your data is secure. Rest assured that your confidential information and transactions cannot be viewed, intercepted or altered.

8. Will my identity remain anonymous?

As a Mole, we will never display your real name. It is up to you to decide when and if you reveal your name to any of the candidates that contact you

As a candidate contacting a Mole, you agree to them having access to your personal details, including your full name
